When editing a blog, you can click "share" to share it to Facebook or Twitter. Sharing Your Travel Blogsįrom the page for a blog or destination, you can click on "Share" and then select the site or service where you want to share it. You can include a journal and check-ins on the end date as an epilogue of your journey, or you can leave it empty in which case, it won't appear on your blog and will only be used to display the days you spent at the final destination. If you do not add an end date, Jauntlet assumes your journey ends the day after you arrive at your final destination. You will then be able to select the date and enter a final journal entry. If you wan to specify an end date, select the blog and click "Add End Date". You do not need to add an end date to a blog. You will still see the dates in English when you edit your blog as the Jauntlet interface is only in English at this time. This will be used to display the dates on the blog in that language and to display the text in the proper direction. When you create or edit your blog, you can select its language. If you include a url that starts with it will automatically be linked. You can also use to do things like embed YouTube videos. You can use the following HTML tags in your blog: and. The pages are the same as when creating a new journey or blog. From the list of destinations, you can click edit to change the information about a destination. You can plan your journey in advance to share it and then go back and update each destination as you travel. Next, enter the date and other information about it. You first select the city by typing the beginning of the name and selecting it from the list. Adding a Destinationįrom the blog page, click "Add Destination". This photo will be shown on the first page introduction of the blog and used when shared to social media. Blog PhotoĪfter you have created a blog, you can add a main photo for it using "edit information". After this you will be able to add your first destination. You can choose a custom web address for your blog or leave it blank to have one automatically created. On the next page, enter a title and short introduction for it. Starting a Blogįrom the Blogs tab, click the button "Start a New Blog". Some people like to put their hometown as the first destination, but your travel map will generally look better if starting from your first travel destination. This approach probably works better if you like to write a lot for each day. ![]() Sometimes people like to add a separate entry for each day of their trip even if they are staying in the same place. Most of the time, Jauntlet works best if you add a single destination for the entire time you are in one place. It is usually a city but includes other types of places like national parks.Įxample: The blog "Eurotrip 2016" includes the destinations London, Paris, and Amsterdam. If you're only going to one destination such as a package resort, Jauntlet is probably not for you.Ī destination is a single location on a journey. A blog is usually created for a journey consisting of multiple destinations. Blogs are the primary way to organize travels on Jauntlet.
